ELECTRI Farewell and Welcome

April 23, 2020

As Dr. Joey Shorter gets ready to take on a new position as Chapter Executive for NECA’s Atlanta Chapter, we want to offer our very best wishes to him and his family on this new assignment.

Since 2014, Joey has held several positions within NECA and, since January 2018, has served as Executive Director of our Foundation, ELECTRI International. He brought to ELECTRI a rich academic background and considerable experience in education and administration. Joey’s rapport with and service to the ELECTRI Council, our researchers, and other NECA staff have made him a valuable part of our team effort to serve the electrical construction industry. His volunteer efforts with his church and his community are also noted and appreciated by everyone with whom he interacts.

I am also pleased to announce that Josh Bone, NECA’s Executive Director of Industry Innovation, will serve as ELECTRI International’s Interim Executive Director. At the same time, the Search Committee will continue its work to select a new Executive Director for the Foundation.

Josh Bone

Josh is a proven leader helping construction professionals leverage technology in both the preconstruction and construction phases. He has had the opportunity to work on hundreds of projects throughout his career, where he has delved deep into the VDC process. As Josh takes on day-to-day responsibilities for ELECTRI, he will have the opportunity to bring his considerable knowledge and experience to ELECTRI as it moves forward with its research and education agenda.
