Eligibility
We welcome all NECA Student Chapters to apply for the 2023-2024 NECA Student Chapter of the Year Award! Activities included in your application should range from the Fall 2023 to Spring 2024 semesters.
NECA Student Chapters in good standing are eligible and encouraged to participate. One submission per chapter. Applications must be submitted by a current student chapter member.
Please note that every chapter is unique and may not offer all the activities listed in this application. Include what your chapter feels is appropriate and best represents your strengths. Although brochures, posters, flyers, etc. may be submitted, please use your discretion as to the number of supporting materials you are including with your application.
Scoring
Applications will be reviewed by the ELECTRI Talent Initiative Committee and members from the NECA National staff. Application scores will be based on the quality of submitted content.
Application
Please complete the Application Form on or before Friday, June 28, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. (ET). Non-electronic or late submissions will not be accepted.
Recognition
The winning 2023-2024 NECA Student Chapter of the Year will be announced and recognized at the 2024 NECA Convention & Trade Show in San Diego, CA (September 28-October 1, 2024).
To assist with student registration for convention, the sponsoring local NECA chapter affiliated with the winning student chapter will be notified in August 2024. The local NECA chapter may coordinate with the university representative, however awarded students should not be notified prior to the award ceremony at the NECA Convention.
The winning NECA Student Chapter will receive:
- $2,500 cash prize
- 2023-2024 NECA Student Chapter of the Year Trophy
- An article in NECA and ELECTRI publications
- Recognition on the NECA and ELECTRI websites
