ELECTRI International has received a total of 13 investigative proposals from young engineering and construction management faculty at top universities across the country. The Foundation’s Program Review Committee (PRC) is currently analyzing the objectives and proposed outcomes for each research presentation. PRC Committee Chair Greg Long (Long Electric, Napa, CA) noted, “The thought and innovation that these young researchers put into preparing their proposals is outstanding. Our industry is fortunate to have so many interested emerging academics who want to work with us to make electrical construction safer, more productive, and more profitable.”

Three finalists will be invited to join the ELECTRI Council at its July meeting in Toronto for a final round of oral interviews. The Council is expected to select two Early Career Award winners for 2014. Both will receive $9,000 grants to facilitate their work.
