ELECTRI International is seeking proposals from research organizations/researchers interested in studying topics broadly relating to Electrical Construction. The Foundation’s proposal review process is open to any qualified organization or researcher interested in expanding the knowledge of Electrical Construction. ELECTRI’s goal is to engage highly qualified researchers to study important topics that will add value to the industry and its stakeholders.

For its 2015 research agenda, ELECTRI has identified five high priority areas that researchers may wish to consider:

  • Ways to connect the field more effectively to the office and to the cloud
  • The impact of a project’s contract clauses that force excessive risk down to the subcontractor
  • Designing a framework for ELECTRI International to think strategically and identify visionary topics of high value
  • How the convergence of various technologies will impact the business of electrical construction
  • Ways that the specialty contractor is impacted when newer project delivery systems recognize this contractor as a partner rather than a subcontractor

The complete Request for Proposal and instructions can be found at the ELECTRI web site at http://www.electri.org/content/full-research-grants.

Summary proposal are due by 5:00 PM EDT, November 7, 2014.
