ELECTRI International and Ecuador's Colegio de Electricos y Electronicos de Pichincha (CIEEPI) have signed a memorandum establishing a collaborative partnership between the two organizations.

CIEEPI, established in the Province of Pichincha in 1967, is affiliated with Ecuador's Society of Engineers. CIEEPI's agenda is focused on bringing the highest professional engineering service to construction and design projects and to providing quality educational experiences for engineering students in the region.

The March 2013 Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Quito, Ecuador, by ELECTRI President Russ Alessi and CIEEPI President Fernando Salinas. The two organizations will collaborate by

  • Working with US companies seeking to establish engineering and construction contacts in Ecuador
  • Setting up information links on each other's web sites
  • Providing CIEEPI with electronic copies of all ELECTRI research reports
  • Assisting with delegate registration for CIEEPI members wishing to attend a NECA Convention and for US companies interested in technical/academic conferences and seminars offered in Ecuador.

Both organizations have agreed to work together in a true spirit of partnership to support each other 's growth and service to electrical construction.
