YOUNG FACULTY MEMBERS ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT EARLY CAREER AWARDS

April 1, 2020

ELECTRI International is launching its 2020 Early Career Awards Grant competition. This program, part of ELECTRI’s Talent Initiative, IS designed to involve younger faculty in the Foundation’s research agenda.  Faculty members are invited to apply for a grant on a research topic they believe is important to the electrical construction industry. Entries will be reviewed by ELECTRI’s Program Review Committee. Finalists will be judged and the winners selected by the ELECTRI Council at its July 2020 Chicago meeting.

ELECTRI Executive Director, Joey Shorter, is enthusiastic about the competition. “We are seeing more and more interest in this awards initiative. The winning faculty members will each receive a financial award of up to $9,000. The first-place finisher in the competition will receive the Russ Alessi Research Award and the second-place researcher will receive the Tom Glavinich Research award. We are bringing contractors and educators together in a very meaningful way.”

The Early Career Awards RFP is available on the ELECTRI International web site at www.electri.org .
