Industry Connect – On April 26th and 27th, ELECTRI partnered with the St. Louis Chapter NECA to host Industry Connect at the Build My Future® STL event. Build My Future® STL first launched in the St. Louis area a year ago and was a wild success! The construction career and industry showcase event includes hands-on exhibits and virtual reality simulations for local high school students to explore the electrical, architecture, construction, bricklaying, heavy equipment, tile laying, welding, plumbing, HVAC and many more industries. Industry Connect was incorporated into the event to give students the opportunity to explore field and office career paths and technology in the EC industry.
This event hosted over 2,000 area high school students and provided students and educators the opportunity to learn about the trades and test the latest trends and technologies that are shaping the future of the industry. Students were able to get hands-on experience with:
- Robotic Total Stations
- X7 Point Cloud Scanners
- XR10 Hololens
- Drones in Construction
- Wiring a Lightbulb
- Bending Conduit
