ELECTRI International has honored its long-time Academic Liaison, Jerald L. Rounds, Ph.D., P.E. for his outstanding efforts with university faculty and students to advance ELECTRI’s research and education agenda. A fourth-generation constructor, Jerry Rounds has dedicated his entire career to creating and delivering research-based educational content that contributes significantly to the construction industry, especially electrical construction. Until his recent retirement, Dr. Rounds served as AGC Endowed Chair Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, University of New Mexico.
As one of ELECTRI’s most involved faculty members, Jerry Rounds helped define the Foundation’s research and education program. In 1997, Dr. Rounds was named Academic Liaison to the Foundation, ensuring his continued participation with Foundation staff and the ELECTRI Council at the highest level. He exemplifies the future of the partnership between electrical contracting and higher education.
