Shaw Electric came into existence as Shaw & Kauth Electric in 1930 during the depths of the Great Depression.  R.D. Shaw and Rudy Kauth pooled their resources ($200 each) to start the business in May of that year.  Over 80 years later, the strong fundamental principles and integrity upon which that fledgling business was based drives the company today as the 4th generation comes of age.
