Members of the Ecuadorian association of electrical engineers – CIEEPI – were active participants at ELECTRI International’s 2013 Cross Border Meeting in Quito, Ecuador. During the meeting, CIEEPI and ELECTRI agreed to work closely together on helping CIEPPI’s contractors become more involved with ELECTRI International’s Cross Border activities and participate as a NECA international chapter.

This year, CIEEPI supported ELECTRI in establishing excellent contacts with industry and government leaders in Cuba in advance of the Havana Cross Border Meeting. Fernando Salinas, President, and Santiago Córdova Vaca, Secretary, attended the Havana events. Now, CIEEPI has made the decision to join NECA as a chapter member. ELECTRI plays a strong role in encouraging international participation by everyone working in electrical construction.
